New Lunch Stop
So, about a month ago, I was commenting and probably complaining a little to a couple of my coworkers about the fact that there was no place in walking distance of our building to get a healthy wrap or salad or something like that for lunch. About the healthiest we could do was Subway or Jimmy Johns. Not bad, but one gets sick of subs after awhile. Other than that, it is limited. We have the Dogg Haus, Real Chili, George Webbs and the like. Oh, and up the street is a new pizza place that sells pizza by the slice. Good pizza, too, but not good for the diet. Well, for the last month or so, I have seen this place being set up on the east end of the building that houses the pizza place. The sign outside said it was going to be called "The Broken Yolk & Sandwich Shop". I've been very curious as to what this place was going to serve. Obviously eggs, but what kinds of sandwiches. Only breakfast sandwiches? Or lunch type stuff as well? Well, when I drove past this morning, they were open and I knew where I was headed for lunch. One of my coworkers walked over there with me and I was quite pleased when we walked inside and saw the menu board. There were wraps and salads and good healthy sandwiches. I had a very yummy BLT today for lunch. Just filling enough that I wasn't hungry for a few hours, which is kinda unusual for me. And they gave me the option of having it on wheat bread, which was also really good. I will definitely be making this my new lunch stop- of course just on days that I don't have lunch at home to make. And I would recommend it to anyone in the Milwaukee area- it's on Wisconsin Ave and about 20th Street. Happy eating!
